Imagine lush vegetation alternating with well-kept clearings that have benches, shades, and a web of garden paths connecting them all. The paths are well-indexed and lead to knowledge domains of interest to the visitors, domains that can be navigated by multiple methods to match their learning styles. Well that's the idea, and we are clearly not there yet, in fact, we are just putting the first seeds in the ground.
"Resource garden" is a metaphor to introduce a growing collection of knowledge resources that we will add every week. It is also a meme pointing to the not-so-distant future when the technology of 3D virtual worlds, such as Second Life, will provide a platform for complex knowledge ecosystems.
We have carefully selected all the "plants" in this garden, based on how relevant they are to one or more of the fields of practice that we are engaged in.
